First post

Ahhhh first blog ever in my entire life. Let the blog wars begin! I guess this is just another reason to put off the more important things that need attending to like the two piles of clothes in my room and the mess of papers all over the floor in my study room.

Today is the first day of my holidays and it started off fairly good/crap depending how you look at it. But i'll start my story at the end of work last night. A few hours before work we had planned to go on the greatest fishing adventure ever after work. So after ly and I had finish work, we called up the crew. Me and ly headed out to the city to pick up a half drunk vietnamese guy called Phuc. We ended up waiting for like an hour to which we thought would be a 10 minute wait lol. Then we went to pick up a vietnamese stooge called Ricky, a very reliable guy i must say and this is when the greatest fishing adventure begun.

First stop, we had was at a much loved classy restaurant, where the food is reasonably price and healthy and the service is close to a 5 star restaurant......... this stylish world renowned restaurant is much known as McDonald's. We had our feed and continued our journey. The vibe in the air at this time was electrifying. The boys were excited and determined to have the catch of a liftime. The thought of catching something big and staying till dawn fueled our excitment. In our minds we believed that this night was the night of all fishing nights and that dream catch would soon be ours. Our journey had led us to a place recommended by Ly, a keen fishman with immense fishing knowledge that only personal experience could have been taught. Not long after we arrived to our destination, our excitment and expectations high, we were ready for that perfect catch. As the boys threw in their lines, I had to decided to to wait to see if the boys were having any nibbles. Having the luck i have, i was most likely to catch nothing but seed weed and snag. But the fact was, there was just no fish. We had miss the 11 o'clock tide by atleast 2hrs. The only bites the we were getting were from the viscous blood draining mosquitos. We were destined to have another uneventful fishing trip again. After a while we tried our luck at a few other places, but we were only lead to further disappointment. We then decided to head home, broken hearted. Once we were the cheerful, excited, enthusiastic keen fishing men, by the end of our journey we were all tired and grumpy old men.

But in the end it wasn't entirely about the perfect catch, it was the quality time of chilling with your mates early in the morning and toughing it out through the harsh winds and annoying mossies. Spending that time, making those memories is what makes it worth while. Even though a big nice fish would make us more than happy once and awhile. Maybe one day, hopefully soon during one of our adventures, we'll come back with that big catch.........
